In April I meet back up with Poppy Nash, this time in Glasgow at @printclan for a week of experimentation, seeing how different inks & fabrics respond and working on increasing the scale and tactility of my work.

This piece was transformed once backlit.

I loved printing on the variety of weights and different coloured materials I'd brought with me, this one is chiffon. By over printing the same image using different inks and binders it has enabled me to echo the visual distortions I was experiencing in 2021 due to my sight loss.

One of the many things I love about textile printing is the drastic change in colour and texture once cured. I loved my time in Glasgow in April I did so much experimenting, exploring ways of sharing sight loss through my art.

It's so important for artists to have this funded time enabling creative freedom, trying new things, pushing yourself creatively and finding the joy in art, there are not enough opportunities for artists to do this.
