DYCP Arts Council 2024

Back in January I started my DYCP funded journey into textile printmaking with artist Poppy Nash. I started by spending a fun and intense week of printmaking creating hundreds of samples, using different inks, binders, and foils. Creating a textile sample book of all the processes I tried, with notes on each page enabling me to recreate the effects.

Something I've carried on, an incredibly helpful discipline for me enabling me to build a comprehensive visual and written diary of every thing I tried during my DYCP, enabling me to compare and understand why I like certain finishes and why they worked the way they did and how I can replicate them or alter them for future projects.

These are just a few of the samples that helped me create work this year.
