“The Power of Protest 2024” Ikon Youth Programme workshops & exhibition

Ikon Youth Programme, in 2024 working in collaboration with printmaker Taiba Akhtar we taught 16-21 year old's Dry point and Collagraph techniques over 6 weeks. Creating art on the theme of protest and what it meant to the individual. These were exhibited in the events room at the Ikon gallery. Well done to everyone, I love everyone's take on the theme which came about through a group discussion between IYP and Taiba and myself. I wish we had longer to work with you, to see how far you could take your creative skills, its amazing what you achieved in six weeks.
